How to Be Saved...
Why is Jesus' death on the cross so important? Because all of mankind faces the problem of sin.
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23
The good news is, even though the price for sin is death, Jesus gave us forgiveness through his death in our place on the cross.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23
"But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
If we pray to God and ask for his forgiveness, he will hear and respond!
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9
If we admit and accept that Jesus is Lord- that is, our God and Master- and believe that the Bible and the message in it about Jesus is true, we will be saved- spared from hell and forgiven of sin.
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God- what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Romans 12:1-2
Admit you have sinned."If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."1 John 1:8 |
Believe in the Savior."For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."John 3:16 |
Confess and forsake your sin."If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."1 John 1:9 |
